GUWAHATI: Secretary XI finished Day 1 with a score of 98-4 in their first innings against Guwahati in the RG Baruah Trophy U-16 Inter District Cricket match at Nehru Stadium today. The game had a delayed start due to rain. Invited to bat first, Secretary XI managed to play 50 overs, reaching a total of 98-4 by the close of play. The standout performer with the ball was Sameer Mahato, who claimed all four wickets for 37 runs. With the bat, the key contributors were Aviroo Sarma (29), Himangshu Sarma (22), and Zayan Zaman (20). Earlier veteran cricket coach Nabab Ali and president of GSA Paresh Chandra Das were introduced to the players before the start of the game.
