Shillong Lajong beat Gauhati Town club by 1-0

GUWAHATI: Shillong Lajong defeated Gauhati Town club (GTC) by a solitary goal in the Junior League soccer match held at the Nehru Stadium here today. The only goal of the match was scored by Wadajied K Ryngkhlem in the 60th minute.

It was the fourth consecutive victory for shilling Lajong in the competition. With this win, Shillong Lajong secured the top position of the table with 13 points from 5 games. The side also qualified to the final round of the Hero Junior League which will be held in Kolkata during the last week of May. Both the sides will face each other one more time in the competition on May 4 which will be the away game for GTC.
