GUWAHATI: The preparatory camp for the Indian probables for U-17 Women FIFA World Cup will resume after All India Football Federation takes a stock of the situation as per the government directives. The camp will be held in Goa.

A source from the All India Football Federation confirming the news said, "Federation has already chalked out plans for the training. However the date to resume the camp has not decided yet. It will be taken after taking a stock of the situation according to the government's directive."

It may be mentioned here that the U-17 FIFA Women World Cup was supposed to be held in India in November this year. But the competition was deferred for three months because of COVID-19 pandemic. The preparation of Indian team was also suspended.

Meanwhile four-time champion New Zealand became the fourth teams to qualify for the U-17 FIFA Women World Cup.

Altogether 16 teams will participate in the competition which will be held in five Indian cities that included Guwahati too. Apart from New Zealand the other three teams which are already qualified for the meet: Japan, North Korea and host India
