GUWAHATI: West Bengal clinched the title in the Senior National Rugby 7s (Men) Championship, which concluded on Monday at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in city. In a closely fought final, West Bengal edged past Haryana 14-12 to emerge champions. Bihar secured third place with a dominant 17-0 win over Rajasthan in the third-place playoff.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Rugby India President Rahul Bose, President of the Rugby Association of Assam Ramendra Narayan Kalita, and other dignitaries.
