Manipur Girls To Represent India At Asian Bodybuilding Championship

Guwahati: Two girls from Manipur will represent India at the 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2022 which is scheduled to be held from July 15 to 21st in the Maldives.

The Two girls are Solimla Jajo (17) from Kasom Khullen and Solan Jajo (17) from Manipur Ukhrul district.

As per reports, Solimla will participate in the 165 cm senior model physique competition while Solan will complete in the 160 cm Senor Model physique event.

Ahead of the championship, the Body Builder's Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD) on Monday felicitated and blessed them for the two girls being qualified for the international fitness competition.

The reports also claimed that a total of seven individuals including Solimla and Solan will present Indian at the championship.

Meanwhile, both of them are undergoing training under the guidance of Leishangthem Robert Meitei at the Royal gymnasium in the Ukhrul district headquarters.

Notably, Solimla has also bagged 5th position in the Federation Cup, a national competition last year, while Solan started practicing bodybuilding and physique sports in 2021.

As per BBAUD's president Dr. Wisdom, a total of 61 athletes have participated in 7 international, and 12 National participated from bodybuilders association in numerous state-level competitions.
