Northeast United FC announces youth team trials: grab the chance if you are the one

Guwahati: Good news for the aspiring footballers of the region! The reputed football club of the northeast India region Northeast United FC has invited the budding and young footballers of the northeast to come for youth team trials.

As announced by the team, the trails of the youth teams will be held in Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai, Guwahati. The participant teams are also being asked to carry along important documents like Birth certificate, valid ID issued by the government, passport size photographs and relevant gear for the trials.

The team further announces that the trials are to be held on July 27 and 28, 2019 and the participants are asked to reach the venue sharp at 7 in the morning. The selection of the players will be made purely on the basis of the performance and skills and the selected individuals will be able to make a place in the team’s youth teams. What is more, the newly appointed head of the Academy and Grassroots Development for NEUFC Khalid Jamil is to groom the selected players. Such a golden chance of being selected by one of the reputed and strong football club of the country and in addition to that, getting a chance to be groomed by the head in itself is as a golden opportunity that anybody would love to catch.

The reason behind the Northeast United FC to take up this step of selecting promising young players is part of its aim to build a sustainable academy setup. The club is looking for establishing the promising players of the region along with also providing them with a strong platform for showcasing their skills at the highest level.

The football club, being an Indian professional football club based in Guwahati, Assam is one of the strong contenders of the Indian Super League (ISL) and is owned by the Bollywood actor John Abraham. The club claims to represent all 8 states of Northeast India.
