MUMBAI: Royal Challengers Bangalore registered their second win in the IPL 2022 on Tuesday night at the Wankhede Stadium as they beat Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets.

After restricting Royals at 169 runs in a slow wicket, RCB reached the target in 19.1 overs losing 6 wickets.

RCB openers- Fef du Plessis (29) and Anuj Rawat (26)- stated well, added 55 runs in 7 overs. But suddenly they lost four wickets in 11 balls. Then Shahbaz Ahmed (45 runs off 26 balls) and Dinesh Karthik took the game away from Royals. They put on 67 runs from 33 balls. Karthik remained unbeaten at 44 runs off 23 balls.

Earlier, Jos Buttler struck a superb unbeaten half-century as Rajasthan Royals reached a below-par 169/3.

Buttler, who scored a century against Mumbai Indians in their previous match, blasted four sixes in the last two overs of the innings as he remained unbeaten on 70 runs (42 balls, 6x6) and shared two vital partnerships -- an 83-run unfinished stand with Shimron Hetmyer (42 not out - 31 balls,4x4, 6x2) for the fourth wicket and a 70-run partnership 0ff 49 deliveries with Devdutt Padikkal (37 - 29 balls, 4x2, 6x2) -- which helped Rajasthan Royals set up RCB a target of 170 to chase.
