Sam Curran, the heartthrob of many, was born on June 3, 1998, in Northampton, England. He achieved Surrey's second-youngest first-class cricketer ever at the age of 17 years and 40 days, following Tony Lock, who made his first appearance precisely before 69 years. He has been featured in every six games for England Under-19s at the 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, collecting 201 runs along with seven wickets which led his team to finish sixth in the tournament. Furthermore, he was also named to the England Lions for their 2016–17 tour of the United Arab Emirates, as well as their 2017 season fixture against South Africa at Canterbury. Currently, Sam Curran is playing in the IPL team of Chennai Super Kings, where he is getting enormous love and fame from the audience. Curran was waived by the Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2020 season, landing him in the IPL 2020 Player Auction. The fast bowler, who had a base price of INR 1 crore, was eventually sold for INR 5.5 crore to the Chennai Super Kings. Curran has 22 wickets at an average of 25.50, a strike rate of 18.27, and an economy rate of 8.37, in 21 matches for Super Kings across two seasons.
