Senior Women T20 League: Assam beat Saurashtra by 19 runs

GUWAHATI: Assam defeated Saurashtra by 19 runs in their opening game in the Senior Women T20 League held at Ranchi today. Two good knocks from Gayatri Gurung (32) and Monikha Das (30) guided Assam to 106-5 in their 20 overs after the side won the toss and elected to bat first. The duo on the second wicket partnership also added 60 runs. Devashree Konwar (21) was the other major contributor. Later Assam restricted Saurashtra 87-9 in their 20 overs. Monikha Das and Mousami Narah picked up 2-wicket each. In their next Game Assam will face Punjab tomorrow.
