ITANAGAR: Tawang District Olympic Association (TDOA) President Jambey Tashi joined by Vice President Namgey Tsering on Tuesday distributed 27 Mountain Terrain Bikes (MTB) to interested locals of various age groups of Lumla constituency.

The MTB distribution was aimed to create health consciousness among the denizens in line with the Fit India Movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing a simple function with the theme 'Fit India Movement' and 'Say No to Drugs', Tashi, the lawmaker from Lumla constituency and also advisor of RWD, Planning and Investment, informed that the entire world today is facing the major challenge of global warming and looking out for an option.

"Cycling can prove to be a major game changer to tame global warming, check air pollution and protect our environment", he pointed out, while urging everyone to opt for cycles as the mode of transport for short destinations.
