Two upsets in OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament

GUWAHATI: OIL–AITA U-16 Super Series Tennis Tournament witnessed two upsets at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex here today. In the boys U-16 singles prequarter finals unseeded Aum Pranay Parikh of Gujarat caused a major upset by defeating 6th seed Antariksh Tamuly of Assam 7-6(5), 6-3. In the girls under 16 singles unseeded Sohini Sanjay Mohanty of Odisha defeated 7th seed Sreenidhi Balaji of Karnataka in a gruelling three setter 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. All the other seeds moved to the quarter finals which will be played on Wednesday.
