GUWAHATI: India will face Australia in the third game of the five-match T20I series at the ACA stadium in Barsapara here on Tuesday. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.

India are currently on a roll, winning the opening two games. One more victory in Guwahati can seal the series by gaining an unassailable 3-0 lead.

Both the teams arrived in Guwahati in the afternoon from Thiruvananthapuram and went straight to their respective hotels. The Indians are staying at a star-category hotel near Jalukbari and the Australians at Khanapara.

Australia and India faced each other in T20I matches on 28 occasions till date. While India dominated in the contest and won 17 matches, Australia earned 10 victories. One match ended without any result.

At the ACA Stadium here, it will be the second time when Australia will face India in a T20I. The first match was held in 2017 and Australia returned victorious.

The surface at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati is known for its conduciveness for batting. The track offers pace and bounces, so the batters generally enjoy their time in the middle. The wicket is flat, and with a lightning quick outfield, the cricket fans can expect a high-scoring affair on Tuesday. It may be mentioned here that the highest score here in a T20I was 237/3, and it was scored by India against South Africa. David Miller was the highest individual scorer with 106 not out in 2022. The best bowling figures recorded in Guwahati was Jason Behrendorff (4–21) in 2017.

The weather of Guwahati this time looked very good with no chance of rain. However, dew may play a role in the toss. The temperature at the ACA Stadium is expected to be around 21 degrees C, with humidity around 69 %, with no chances of rain.

Meanwhile, the State Traffic Police made an elaborate arrangement to give smooth passage to the crowd who will visit the ACA Stadium on Tuesday to watch the game. Except school buses and emergency service vehicles, no other vehicles will be allowed to move through the Stadium Road from Lakhra Point, as it will be one way from 3 pm. The DCP, Traffic Jayanta Sarathi Bora, today informed the media that temporary parking is arranged at various places like Champabati Field, Ganeshpara Field, Datalpara Field, PWD Field, Lutuma Field, Cycle Factory Field, Lalganesh to Saukuchi Bridge (Single Line), Rolling Mill Park, Kalimandir Sporting Club Field and a few other places.

It will be mentioned here, that there are altogether six gates at the ACA Stadium, for the crowd will enter. Except gate number 5 and 6, the other gates will open at 4 pm and those two at 3 pm, as most of the crowd will enter the ground using these two entries. Only mobile phone and money purse will be allowed at the time of entry in the stadium.

The media briefing was also attended by Secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Tridip Konwar and senior mem-ber Parikshit Dutta.
