Zlatan Ibrahimovic to miss Euro 2020

ROME: Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be ruled out of the Euro 2020 due to a knee injury, head coach of Sweden Janne Andersson confirmed on Saturday. The AC Milan hitman injured his knee in the Serie A fixture against Juventus last week, the initial diagnosis suggested the 39-year-old needed a three-week recovery time, but according to the latest statement from the Rossoneri, the Swede will take a conservative treatment lasting for six weeks despite surgery unnecessary. "I spoke to Zlatan Ibrahimovic today, who unfortunately told me his injury will prevent his participation in the European Championship this summer," said Andersson.
