MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the annual contracts for the Indian Men’s Cricket team for the 2022-23 session on Sunday and some key changes have been made to the list of players in the list of retainer.

This year the Board of Control for Cricket announced four categories of the payments of the retained players for the board. The A+ category is at the top of the list with Rs 7 Cr as fees to the players followed by the A category where players will receive Rs 5 Cr. This is followed by the B category which will receive Rs 3 Cr and the last if the C category and the players in this list will receive Rs 1 Cr.

The Board has announced the retainers of a total of 26 cricketers for the Indian Men’s Team. Four of them are in the A+ category and five more are in the A category. The B category has six players in the list while the last, the C category has 11 players.

The A+ category, which is the most elite category on the list and the players include the sure-shot players for the three formats of the game in the international arena. The A category is made of players who are confirmed to play in the long and the one-day formats. Category B is comprised of players for the limited-over formats while C category players make any one of the three formats of the game.

The category Ravindra Jadeja has been upgraded from A to A+ while Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya have been promoted to A from B and C respectively. Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav made it to Group B from Group C for the new season.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma, Hanuma Vihari, Mayank Agarwal, Wriddhiman Saha and Deepak Chahar were not included in the new list
