IPL 2022: Here Is The Complete Purse Remaining Of All 10 Teams Ahead Of The Mega Auction

The Ahmedabad and Lucknow teams confirmed their draft ahead of the Maga auctions of IPL 2022. The new Lucknow and Ahmedabad are left with a purse of Rupees 58 and 52 crores.

NEW DELHI: The 2022 edition of the IPL (Indian Premier League) is going to be a grand affair with 2 new teams adding to the tournament.

The Indian Premier League this year will have a total of 10 teams for the first time since the year 2011.

The two news teams i.e. Ahmedabad and Lucknow have made their confirmation for the draft picks prior to the mega auctions of IPL 2022. The mega auctions are scheduled to take place next month in February.

The Lucknow team consists of Ravi Bishnoi, Marcus Stoinis and KL Rahul while the Ahmedabad team goes with players namely Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan. All these players will be the main lead of their respective IPL teams.

Just head of the bidding ceremony, the already existing 8 franchises were directed to retain a maximum of 4 players. A maximum of one foreign retention were allowed to be made by the IPL teams.

From the list of the non-retained players, the teams will be provided with the options of getting a maximum of 3 players on board and the decision is made to make a fair competition. Therefore the Lucknow team choose Marcus Stoinis and KL Rahul and the franchise lead person will be Rahul who led the team of Punjab Kings in the previous two sessions of the tournament.

In leading the Ahmadabad team, the all-rounder player Hardik Pandya has been selected as the captain and he will be receiving services from Shubnam Gill and Rashid Khan.

Apparently, both the new IPL teams went with one all-rounder, one bowler and one batter.

Notably, the entire 10 teams have been allotted a purse of Rupees 90 crore and after the selection of players in the draft, the teams are now left with different purse amounts.

On talking about the purse left with the new teams, the complete purse remaining for the Ahmedabad team is Rupees 52 crores and the total purse left for the Lucknow team is Rupees crore.

All the franchises are ready to surprise fans with their moves and all set to give their best as the Mega auction is around the corner.

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore – INR 57 crore

4. Kolkata Knight Riders – INR 48 crore

6. Punjab Kings – INR 72 crore

7. Rajasthan Royals – INR 62 crore

8. Sunrisers Hyderabad – INR 68 crore

9. Lunckow – INR 58 crore

10. Ahmedabad – INR 52 crore
