GUWAHATI: The T20I match between India and South Africa T20I interrupted twice due to different reasons. First, it was a snake which entered into the ground and later the flood light of a tower at the South stand went off.

The first incident took place after the 7th over in the first innings when India were batting after invited to bat first. A few South African cricketers first pointed out that a snake has entered the field and the play was stopped for a while. The ground staffs present at the stadium rushed onto the ground to remove the snake and the matter was sorted out in a couple of minutes.

The second bizarre incident occurred during the innings of the South Africa. The innings was 2.1 overs old and South Africa were struggling that time losing two wickets for 5 runs. All of a sudden the light at one tower near south stand went off. Players of both the teams left the field and had to wait nearly 15 minutes before the light returned and play resumed.
