City To Host Soccer Exhibition Match

Guwahati: An exhibition soccer match will be held at the Nehru Stadium in the city on March 11 where almost all the top players of the State will take part. The match will kick off at 2-30 PM.

Disclosing the news the president of the Assam Football Association Naba Kumar Doley said "After the long break due to COVID-19 it is now time to regroup and start the football activities in full swing. Keeping it in mind we have decided to organize this match with the help of Gauhati Town Club, Assam Olympic Association and Gauhati Sports Association."

Doley also said that two teams which will participate in the match are Rhino Warriors and Brahmaputra Brave. While Rhino Warriors will be coached by Ganesh Rai, Bidhan Das will be seen in coach's chair of Brahmaputra Brave.

Among other present in the media briefing was the secretary of the Assam Olympic Association Lakhya Konwar and president of the Gauhati Sports Association Pulak Goswami.
