Kristi Boro cruises into quarter in singles

GUWAHATI: Kristi Boro of Assam stormed into the quarter finals in the girls singles event of the U-18 ITF Juniors Tennis Championship at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in the city today. In the pre quarter finals she defeated Khushali Modi (IND). 6-1, 6-1. In the doubles Kristi moved into the semi finals partnering with Arni Reddy Yello. The duo beat Radhika Rajesh Mahajan and Bhumika Tripathi in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in the last-eight game. Meanwhile in the boys singles pre quarter finals 3rd seed Nikhil Mukharjee lost to unseeded Jaishnav Shinde in straight sets 2-6, 3-6.
