In pursuance of the above recommendation and taking into consideration the fact that in other states the State Rural Roads Development Agencies (SRRDAs) function with considerable autonomy, the Deptt. of Rural Development, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh vide its order dated 15th November, 2003 established the U.P. Rural Roads Development Agency (hereinafter referred to as UPRRDA) as a registered Society under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act,1860. As a sequel to the above order. the UPRRDA came into being on 15th November ,2003 i.e. the day it got finally registered.
