19 Agriculture Development officials Summoned In Relation With APSC Scam

ADO RECRUITMENT CONTROVERSY

GUWAHATI, July 26: In connection with the Bhangagarh police station case no 159/17, 19 Agriculture Development Officers (ADOs) have been summoned to appear in front of the Investigating Officer (IO) of the case tomorrow.

Earlier, eight ADOs were interrogated by the IO. The forensic report revealed that answer scripts of 27 ADOs were allegedly altered and also marks enhanced.

They appeared in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducted written test in 2014 while the oral test of the examination was held in 2015.

Notably, Bedanta Bikash Das, a candidate who had also appeared in the examination lodged an FIR at the Bhangagarh police station alleging that he was demanded a bribe amounting to Rs 15 lakh against a post of ADO.

Das made the allegation against former APSC Chairman Rakesh Paul and a junior engineer of the Soil Conservation Department, Mofidul Islam in the FIR.
