2 arrested with fake notes

GUWAHATI, May 3: Acting on a tip-off, Customs sleuths today arrested two persons – Kalpa Duarah (40) and Manoj Yadav (27 – with high-quality fake notes. The two hail from Tinsukia. They were on their way to Guwahati from Goalpara, when arrested. It is suspected that they had a plan to circulate the fake notes of 500-rupee denomition with a face value of Rs 50,000 in the tea garden areas in Upper Assam.
