3 NDFB(S) rebels held in Mumbai

GUWAHATI, April 4: Three NDFB(S) militants, including a platoon commander of the outfit, were held by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad from a locality in vi Mumbai on Friday. They have been identified as B Songa alias Bisho, a 'platoon commander' and cousin of the outfit’s general secretary, B Swamkhar and Purno rzary. They are residents of Baksa and were stated to be involved in the December 23 massacre. A team fromSonitpur police is on way to Mumbai to take their custody. The militants are on the run in the wake of the intensified operations by security forces. A few Bodo rebels were also held earlier in Bangalore and Kerala. Bisho’s brother, also wanted in connection with the massacre, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam in January this year. Over 180 NDFB(S) militants and their sympathizers have been apprehended since the December 23 carge.
