Guwahati, February 18: Commander-in-chief of the All Adivasi tiol Liberation Army (AANLA) Nirmal Tirkey and four others were today arrested by Golaghat police on charges of having links with Maoists. The other four were identified as Padmeswar Ghatowar, Bubai Ghatowar (both from Meparani), Sanjay Singh alias Ram Singh from Udalguri. Police said they had taken a group of 30 youths from Assam to Chattisgarh for Maoists training.
