AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) Team Leaves For Parleys in New Delhi

GUWAHATI: An AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) team led by party president Atul Bora is going to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Saturday to discuss the CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill). The AGP team has already left for New Delhi.

Before leaving for the national capital today, the AGP had its Legislature Party (AGPLP) meeting in the State Assembly on the CAB. Talking to the media after the AGPLP meeting, party MLA Satyabrata Kalita said, “Before the last Lok Sabha election, the BJP had assured us of introducing the CAB through consultation and consensus. Now we’ve been invited by Union Home Minister Amit Shah for discussion. We’re going to meet him in New Delhi tomorrow.”

On the other hand, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have already left for New Delhi. Many other social and political organizations of the State have also been invited to the national capital by Shah.
