'AGP has no right to gherao my residence'

From a Correspondent
New Delhi, Oct 12: Accusing AGP activists of indulging in vandalism, BJP MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa on Monday said that the party has lost faith amongst the people of Assam.  Hours after AGP activists’ gheraoed Tasa’s Jorhat residence, the MP said that it has no right to do so. “They can gherao a party office, but not anybody’s residence,” said Tasa who is in Delhi.  Opposing the Centre’s decision to regularise the stay of Hindu refugees from Bangladesh and Pakistan, the AGP along with other parties and organisations have been demanding revocation of the decision. “We know what the AGP did, when it was in power in the State. We know the role played by the Congress. I am sure the BJP will come to power in the State in the next assembly election,” said Tasa.
