All Assam Bengali Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AABYCP) leader Sujit arrested

GUWAHATI: The police arrested All Assam Bengali Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AABYCP) leader Sujit Sarkar in Kokrajhar on Saturday on the charge of making provocative statements. According to the police, Sarkar was arrested in connection with a case (175/18) and similar cases filed against him in Harisingha and Dinakuchi police stations in Udalguri on the charge of making provocative statements. The police had been searching Sarkar for the past few days in connection with the cases. For the past few days, he was hiding somewhere along the Assam-North Bengal border, the police said.
