Alliance between AGP and BJP will help Congress: Anjan Dutta

GAON, March 2: APCC president Anjan Dutta strongly reacted in a press conference held at gaon Rajiv Bhavan on Wednesday regarding the alliance between the AGP and BJP forged in Delhi on Wednesday. He said that such kind of alliance would not help either parties, rather it would indirectly help the Congress in the upcoming assembly election.

Dutta said that the AGP merged with a commul force like BJP for which many leaders and workers of the AGP and BJP had contacted him and expressed their will to join the Congress. Without mentioning the mes of those leaders and workers, Dutta further said that he told all of them as if they come without any aspiration for tickets they would be welcomed into the party fold.

Dutta said that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi would visit Assam with a two-day agenda on March 4 and during his trip he would first go to Silchar town and there he would exchange views with small traders of Silchar and then he would address a party rally in the same town. In the evening he would come to gaon and would address a rally of panchayat members, ZPC members, AP members and panchayat presidents of the State at gaon Nehrubali. Soon after that rally, Gandhi would take part in an interaction programme with the tribal leaders of the State at gaon Khagen Mahanta Auditorium on the same day.

Dutta further stated that Gandhi would stay at night in gaon and the next day morning he would take part in a march past from gaon Swahid Bhavan to Borghat bypass road where Gandhi would address another rally there at the bypass.
