Army neutralizes top NDFB(S) leader

Bongaigaon, Feb 8: In a joint operation, the Indian army and police neutralized the self-styled platoon commander of NDFB(S) Uday rzary alias Khilikhang today near Edenbari village in Chirang district. The militant entered into the laid ambush site and on being challenged, he fired atthe ambush party with an automatic weapon. In the retaliatory fire, the militant was injured and immediately evacuated to the Chirang civil hospital, where he was declared dead. He is wanted by the NIA in connection with Adivasi massacre at Saralpara in December 2014. One AK-56 rifle, some rounds and cash were recovered from the slain militant.
