Guwahati, Jan 31: The Assam Assembly will meet for a four-day session beginning Monday.
This will be the last assembly session of the third term of the Tarun Gogoi-led Congress government.
The session will commence with the Governor's address.
Gogoi will place the vote-on-accounts for 2016-17 and the supplementary demands on Monday.
The government will table a new bill during the session - the Assam Sri Sri Maa Kamakhya Devalaya Magement Bill, 2016.
The government will also bring two other bills during the session - the Assam Repealing Bill, 2016 and the Assam Tea Plantation Provident Fund & Pension Fund and Deposit Linked Insurance Fund Scheme (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
Significantly, despite several assurances by Education Minister Sarat Barkataky, the venture school bill will not feature during this session.
