Ban on Anpur Chilli Sauce, Niyor packaged drinking water

Guwahati, July 30: Following reports from government food alysts and the Director, Referral Food Laboratory, Gaziabad, the Assam government has banned the Anpur Chilly Sauce and Niyor Packaged Drinking Water for an initial period of thirty days with immediate effect.

Manufactured by M/S Satez Agro Products Pvt. Ltd. in Assam, Anpur Chilly Sauce was found to have benzoic acid above the maximum permissible limit, while Niyor Packaged Drinking Water manufactured by M/S Blue Bell Enterprise of Assam was found to contain flouride higher than the maximum permissible limit.
