Guwahati, August 24: The Gauhati High Court Bar Association today placed under suspension senior advocate Bhaskar Dev Konwar on charges of "misconduct". "BD Konwar, Senior Advocate, has been suspended from the roll of the association for his misconduct with immediate effect pending drawal of disciplinery proceeding as he made derogatory statements in print and electronic media maligning the image of the association," a resolution passed by the bar at its extra-ordiry general meeting today stated.
