Batswomen let Assam down

GUWAHATI, Jan 20: Assam lost to Goa in the Senior Women T20 League Cricket tourment held at Jadavpur University campus in Kolkata today. It was batting which let down Assam in the game. Only three batswomen–Mamta Kanojia (13), Ritu Dhrub (16) and Shanti Rai (10) scored double figure runs in the game. Assam, invited to bat first in the game, were bowled out for paltry 62 runs in 19.4 overs. Assam bowler tried their best to defend the score but Goa filly reached the target in 19.1 overs losing six wickets. Shikha Pandey remained not out 26. Monikha Das, the most successful bowler for Assam in the game, picked up 2 wickets for 11 runs.
