Bihu wishes

Guwahati, April 13: President Prab Mukherjee has wished the people on the occasion of Rongali Bihu. “On the auspicious occasion of Vishu, Rongali Bihu, Vaiskhadi, Puthandu Pirappu and ba Barsha, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens. May these festivals heralding the New Year strengthen the pluralistic heritage of our tion and bring with them hope and optimism for the future. May they inspire us to work for the peace, progress and prosperity of our tion,” he said in a statement. Assam Governor PB Acharya, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, former CM PK Mahanta, the AASU, APCC, BJP and AGP have also extended their greetings to the people on the occasion.
