BJP in aggressive mode, appoints organizing general secretary for Northeast

Ictiveness will not be tolerated, Ajay Jamwal tells BJP leaders after taking charge

GUWAHATI, Oct 24: Soon after taking charge as the organizing general secretary of BJP Northeast unit, Ajay Jamwal on Saturday issued a stern warning to the party leaders and cadres that ictiveness will not be tolerated anymore. Jamwal who reached Guwahati on Saturday, will be in the city for the next ten days.

Interacting with the media soon after taking charge, Jamwal said, “BJP will form the next government in Assam. The present political situation and the political environment here is a clear indication. People of Assam want freedom from the misrule of Congress. BJP will give them a Congress free government.”

He also thanked the tiol leadership for entrusting him the responsibility of Northeast.

It may be mentioned that, while working for the ABVP, the student wing of the BJP, Jamwal had been to the Northeast and is well aware about the region.

“rendra Modi has a dream for Northeast. He wants development and prosperity to make its way into Northeast. It is the responsibility of the party workers to make it a reality,” Jamwal said.

Stating that his main goal is to strengthen the BJP in Assam before the 2016 elections, he said that he will soon seat with the State BJP leadership to make the plan for 2016.

Jamwal is being accompanied by 5 other leaders from his home State Himachal Pradesh.

“I will take collect all minute information and will file a report to the high command,” Jamwal said.

State BJP president Siddhartha Bhattacharya and many other leaders were also present when Jamwal assumed office on Saturday.
