Cancer patient under quarantine dies at MMCH, Guwahati

A person, who was kept under quarantine, died at the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), here on Monday.

GUWAHATI: A person, who was kept under quarantine, died at the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), here on Monday. The deceased, Tanuram Saikia was a resident of Dalgaon in Darrang district. He was a cancer patient and a retired employee of the State Fire and Emergency Services.

He went to Mumbai on March 18 for treatment but was stranded due to the lockdown. He returned to the State in an ambulance on May 5; and was later quarantined at the MMCH since May 8.
