Case againt Zubeen Garg

Guwahati, August 17: Assam's popular musician Zubeen Garg has got himself embroiled in a controversy for allegedly disrespecting the tiol flag. NGO Sahai president Raju Mahanta filed an FIR in Morigaon against Garg for hoisting the tricolour at his house at Guwahati's Kharghuli area wearing informal dress and thereby insulting the flag, police said. Garg uploaded a photograph on his Facebook account showing him unfurling the tricolour on August 15 at his residence while wearing shorts and informal dress. (IANS)
