Central Bureau of Investigation search operations in Maligaon NFR Headquarters

GUWAHATI: The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) on Wednesday carried out search operations at Maligaon NFR HQs here and also at Lumding with respect to a case ‘RC 12 A-19’ registered with the Central investigating agency in an alleged bribing case.

Sources said that the CBI sleuths carried out search operations in the office of Sunil Kumar in the NF Railway Headquarters (HQs) at Maligaon here and also at the personal residence and business establishment of Sanjay Chakraborty — a former employee of NFR — at Lumding. Sunil Kumar is currently working as Deputy Chief Accounts Officer in NFR HQs at Maligaon. Earlier, he was the Senior Divisional Finance Manager in the Lumding Division of NFR.
