Centre giving importance to NE: Patra

GUWAHATI, May 22: BJP tiol spokesperson Sambit Patra here on Friday said the rendra Modi-led government at the Centre is giving much importance to the northeastern States compared to the previous UPA government. In the last one year, more than 20 development projects have been undertaken for the northeastern States by the Modi government. “Prime Minister rendra Modi has asked all Central ministers to visit the northeastern States frequently,” Patra said.  He further stated that the present Central government has given much stress on the development of road communication in the northeast, Indo-Bangla border fencing, NRC update, special scholarship for northeast students and many more.
