CEO meets representatives of political parties

Guwahati, March 19: Chief Electoral Officer Vijayendra today met representatives of political parties and discussed various issues relating to conduct of free and fair polls in the State.  The political parties appraised the CEO of various issues that might crop up during the elections and steps that need to be taken. The CEO assured them that the election department is taking all possible steps to ensure free and fair elections.  The CEO also briefed the political parties on the upcoming visit of the Chief Election Commissioner.
