New Delhi/Guwahati, April 19: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reached New Delhi on Thursday night with the mandate to meet BJP president Amit Shah on the issue of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill  which has generated a huge controversy in the State with several indigenous organizations fiercely opposing  the Bill. He might also take up with Shah the issue of ministry expansion in the State. The State has a total of 19 ministerial berths, of which eight are vacant. However, two of the vacancies are confirmed, one each for AGP and BPF. When asked on ministry expansion, Sonowal said, “The good news is that the media will be taken into confidence as and when ministry expansion takes place.”
