Congress, BJP protecting illegal migrants, alleges AGP

GUWAHATI, July 9: The Asom Ga Parishad has raised concern over the annomalies taking place in the NRC update process. The party on Thursday said that a state of archy now prevails in the State.

Addressing the media, AGP president Atul Bora said that the BJP and the Congress party is a fray to protect the illegal immgrants. He said, "In the me of NRC, what we are now getting to see is total archy and BJP government at the Centre and the congress government in the State is responsible for this."

He said, “Though the base of NRC was March 25, 1971, the Union government led by BJP is conspiring to inlcude the me of illegal Hindu immigrants who came after this base year. On the other hand, the congress government in State has secretly decided in its cabinet meeting to facilitate all the illegal immigrants.”

The AGP said that the base year of March 25, 1971 will not be compromised and those who came afterwards will have to leave Assam irrespective of caste, creed, community or religion.

The party also appealed all the organisation who have been demadning implementation of Assam Accord and NRC update to stand together.

Meanwhile, the AGP president on Thursday demanded CBI inquiry into the APSC row and the suicide case of Brahmaputra Gas and Polymer Limited General Mager Bimal Kumar.
