By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, March 7: Reacting to Assam Chief Minister Tarun showing Prime Minister rendra Modi ‘in a bad light on the issue of Muslims in the country’ the BJP Assam Pradesh and its minority morcha have said that the ‘Congress has all along been using the Muslims in India as the raw material for politics’.

In a statement issued to the press today, State BJP spokesperson Rupam Goswami and Assam BJP Minority Morcha  president Mominul Aowal said: “In the post-independence era the Congress has been using the minorities in the country as raw material for politics under threat. The AIUDF is also treading the footsteps of the Congress on this front. The aim and objectives of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal concerning the minorities are one and the same – to use the minorities of Assam as raw material for politics under pressure and threat. Gogoi won’t succeed in emotiolly blackmailing the minorities this time around. The minorities in Assam are well aware of Gogoi’s tactics. Along with the minorities in the country, the minorities of Assam have also stood under the BJP flag showing solidarity with the party’s ‘sabka saath, sabka vikash’ slogan. The minority people in Assam have posed their faith on BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Sarbanda Sonowal. Only a BJP government in the State can solve all problems permanently.”
