Cop shoots dead wife, kills self

Guwahati, May 2:  A police constable shot dead his wife before killing himself at his in-laws residence at Madhyamkhanda in North Guwahati. APBN 'lance ik' Jogen th allegedly killed his wife with his service carbine.

Sources said there was a dispute between th's family and his in-laws over alleged harassment meted out to his wife Jaba by th's family. th, sources said, was suffering from depression over the squabble between both the families.

Sources said after killing his wife, th offered flowers at the body. However, when police arrived and asked him to surrender, he shot himself.
