Cotton College teacher murdered, accused husband surrenders

GAON, Jan 8: A teacher of Cotton College, Beneji Sulta Kham, was murdered on Thursday night at her residence at Choukitup area of gaon. The prime accused, her businessman husband Imdadul Hussain, surrendered before police at gaon Sadar police station on Friday noon. The police have registered a case and have arrested him.
Twenty-seven-year old Beneji was reportedly killed with a sharp weapon. Police found the body lying on the bed. The door of the room was locked from outside. Sources said that the husband and wife had picked up a fight in the night. Beneji had joined Cotton College as a teacher in the Education department in October last year. The body was been sent to the gaon Swahid Bhugeswari Phukani Civil Hospital for post mortem.
