Court denies bail to Saikia

New Delhi, April 27: A Delhi court on Monday dismissed the bail application of former jourlist Santanu Saikia accused in connection with petroleum ministry documents leak case. Delhi Police have opposed the bail application of Saikia, saying that 23 sets of documents seized from his possession were of secret and confidential in ture. Saikia, who runs a web portal, was chargesheeted for various offences dealing with cheating, forgery, trespass, theft, common intent and crimil conspiracy by Delhi Police with 12 others accused in the documents leak case.
