COVID-19: Government to create Assam Arogya Nidhi Trust to provide medical relief

GUWAHATI: The Government has decided to create the ‘Assam Arogya Nidhi Trust’ in place of the existing ‘Assam Arogya Nidhi Scheme’ in the interest of providing medical relief and financial assistance to the poor and the needy including persons suffering from COVID-19 in the State. The existing bank account shall continue to be the account of the Trust and it will be operated jointly by the Mission Director, NHM, Assam and Director, Finance & Accounts, NHM, Assam, stated a release.
