Deposit legal weapons, directs EC

Guwahati, Jan 27: In view of the upcoming assembly elections, the Election Commission of India has asked the State Election department to ensure that all legal weapons in possession of civilians are deposited with the administration. While all the district administrations are already into the job, the Kamrup (metro) administration has fixed February 15 as the last date of depositing weapons possessed by any civilian.
