Detention centres to be set up in three central jails

Guwahati, Sept 30: The Assam Government has notified Central Jails of Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Tezpur as detention centres to keep declared foreigners temporarily till separate centres are established for the purpose. Only male inmates may be accommodated in Central Jail, Dibrugarh whereas both male and female inmates may be accommodated in Central Jails of Jorhat and Tezpur.
