From a Correspondent

DHEKIAJULI, March 20: The election campaign for the forthcoming assembly election for 71 LAC Dhekiajuli and 72 LAC Borsola began on Sunday.

In Dhekiajuli, Congress candidate Habul Chakraborty started his campaign with his supporters. Although the voters’ opinion  is not clear at this stage but in Dhekiajuli constituency  the contest is likely to be triangular, between  Congress candidate Habul Chakraborty, BJP candidate Ashok Singhal and Independent candidate Benudhar th. The BJP supporters are in a confused state as the BJP high command denied the party ticket to their  favourite  Benudhar th. It seems that BJP supporters are divided in their opinion.

Some voters of Dhekiajuli said that they had lost faith in BJP after the last Dhekiajuli Municipality Board election because after getting majority in the municipal board election, the municipal board was formed with Congress support and the party high command did not take any action against the BJP ward commissioner who joined the Congress. On the other hand, voters acknowledged the achievement of  Habul Chakraborty  during his five-year term.

Independent candidate Benudhar th has also got mass support from different communities. As the Independent candidate Benudhar th is a local candidate, voters have expressed confidence in him. In Borsola constituency, the Congress candidate Tanka Bahadur Rai and BJP candidate Ganesh Limbu started their election campaign on Sunday.

Tanka Bahadur Rai, the Congress candidate who is a three-times winner from Borsola constituency  is confident  to win the election.
