Five killed in elephant attack

BISWATH CHARIALI, April 5: Five persons were killed by a wild elephant running amok in Behali on Monday night. Emerging from the reserve forest nearby at Thandapani area in Biswath district, the elephant broke into the hut of a six-membered family as they lay sleeping. Five members were trampled while a three year old maged to escape. The deceased have been identified as Majni Murmu (35), Sani Kiska (28), Lakhi Murmu (10),Suhagini Murmu (8) and family’s nine day old child Rimsi Murmu. Their three year old child Robiram Murmu was saved by the villagers.
